Satyaprem Ki Katha will be a special challenge for Kartik Aaryan. It will require him to undergo many layers of personality makeover to emerge in a completely new light. The actor on the lookout for new challenges says he will plunge into a role and film only if he is challenged as an actor. “There is no point in doing what I’ve already done.”

In Satyaprem Ki Katha the milieu, the era, the clothes and body language need a complete makeover. Kartik Aaryan is up for the challenge. “He will set aside a large chunk of his time later this year for intense workshops. There will be a huge volume of preparation and speech modification. Kartik will be unrecognizable in the part,” says a source close to the project.

Going by the intensity of preparation involved, and the director Sameer Vidwans’ earlier achievements in his landmark Marathi film Anandi Gopal, this could be the film that could get Kartik his first National award.
